What’s going on everybody? What is the latest?
Pisces season always feels more immersive than some of the other seasons. Its lush should be absorbed. Time should be more than flexible. Dream at night and during the day. Try to piece together the wildest scenarios and see what you can shake free.
I’ve been trying to reestablish the way I sign onto the internet and I am more concerned than ever about my scroll time. The media landscape continues to shift, and the pace of information remains inconsistent at best. Is it really all down to the deconstruction of cable? No. But that trapdoor didn’t help.
By March 2013, I was beginning to sync into my new job as an assistant at ABC News. I remember clear communication was everything and I loved it. The connectivity then was electric: Blackberry. And an iPhone. Gchat for live storytime or a steady heartbeat for the day. Emails were texts. Texts were for gossip. We met for coffee 11 times a day. Television programming was more organized. The pace was fast and good and immersive before it all started to get choppy.
As comms have gone steadily more haywire in the last decade — now is the time to reassess how you want to be in touch. Be conscientious of what you’re reading, streaming and how much you’re abosrbing. Reject old ways and adopt new and improved forms of consumption.
Allow for a gumminess for things to evolve and make sure there is plenty of time for the exploratory. Be sure to draw up new schemas for the long-term. Future you is counting on it. New moon in two days.

America
If you didn’t catch the SOTU last night, I would say it is worth the context to always listen in its entirety versus catching clips. It starts at 40:19 if you want to skip the red carpet walk. I think my take is that I feel like any address to the country should not be a place for clapping, hollering, cheering, or booing. The performance of “President” should end. Immediately. This is not a one act play. We need to become a more serious group of people that cares about people. I remain unimpressed [and heartbroken for all the harm] as we stare down 2024.
Speaking of America, and news.
Bill Owens, the Executive Producer of 60 Minutes is looking to engage with a new audience by prioritizing YouTube for news coverage in 2024. I think this is an incredibly smart digital move and a great way to redefine your brand comms strategy in the way that works best for your programming.
I’m curious to follow along and to see their growth.

Don’t forget!! April 8th is the solar eclipse.
Below is a great explainer of how to read this map so you can find out where you need to be to see it. There is still time to get into position but hurry up!

Kim Kardashian will star and executive produce in a new thriller project alongside Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories in another major deal.
I know Billie Eilish remains mad at TikTokers but I’m not — Reesa Teesa has signed with CAA. I eagerly await the scripted series, whoever bags that deal. (Issa Rae, please.)
