Hello lovers, some rly important and not-so-important news for the week.
Let’s get into it—

It’s been five days since Beyonce´ [more eloquently] dropped her latest musical announcement, and TEXAS HOLD ‘EM, as of Feb. 16th at 4:00 pm ET, has over 18.5 million streams on Spotify, with 16 Carriages at just about half of that. I can confirm that my friend Greg and I are responsible for at least half of the Hold ‘Em streams. Read more about the team behind this BOP here.
I noticed Apartment Therapy is seeking submissions for home tours and DIY and decorating projects. This site has been a go-to for inspo when I pretend I have the stamina to finally learn how to wallpaper or re-do a corner of my tiny apartment. So, if you’ve got something — use the link here to submit it. I mean, c’mon, if you’re doin’ anything like this, show us. Teach us.
I love this TikTok account, Shitty Rigs. They talk to directors, costume designers, gaffers, grips, sound mixers, photographers, and literally everyone in showbiz—every department you’ve ever wanted to know about sharing boots-on-the-ground experience from TV and film crews. New episodes drop 1st of every month. Check ‘em.
Juan “Spike” Wu Osorio lost his life working on Marvel’s Wonder Man in Los Angeles in a horrific accident on set. Here is a petition to sign for “Spike’s Law” to call for safer sets to require regulations and fall protection for crew members. You can also support his family here.
PA’s United is working to unionize for safer, healthier, and more stable work environments. If you’ve ever been on set, you know these individuals are the lifeblood of what makes a production run. Follow them on Instagram for news and sign their petition if you’re a PA and would like to contribute.
I watched Lover, Stalker, Killer on Netflix, so you don’t have to. Tbh, the twist is so obvious if you’ve ever watched any other true crime doc in your life. That said, these are real folks, and what this killer did is absolutely bonkers. And also, the guy at the center of this triangulation clusterfuck did all his own reenactments — which was, quite painful and very weird to watch. Like, you lived it. Caused a lot of this. And now you’re doing it again on TV? Wut, bro?
“And I'll be damned if I cannot dance with you
Come pour some liquor on me, honey, too
It's a real-life boogie and a real-life hoedown
Don't be a bitch, come take it to the floor now, ooh”

My favorite work friend and I saw famous work friends Tina Fey’s and Amy Poehler’s Restless Leg Tour last night. Lemme just say what a gift to see these two titans at work — a polished and delightfully fucking hilarious show. If you can catch tickets this weekend, they’re at The Beacon.

The double text is offering a 13% discount if free subscribers upgrade to paid by Feb. 29th. Yes, 13 because that is my lucky number, but not because of Taylor Swift, and considering I’m a year older than her and equally as famous, I am claiming this number for myself.
