Friends,

While parked outside my apartment, I am writing to you, waiting for the street sweeper in the cold car a/c. There is nothing that beats car a/c. Nothing. Alright, maybe central air, but the gift of being blasted in the face while listening [read: stimming] to Diet Pepsi on repeat is a gift that only New York Sanitation can give.

We’ve been in a love affair, which I can share has grown into — dare I say — a comfortable part of my routine. My time in the car has become an anchor. It’s 1.5 hours that I know I need to maximize. I write. I read. I mark up notes for peers on their work. I schedule meetings. Sometimes I ramble on TikTok. Yes, I vie for the day that a garage will fit into my budget, but as I sit and wait for the street sweeper, I get stuff done — Not to mention, the people-watching is premium content.

My point is, though, that it’s Virgo season. Mercury has gone direct, so any clunkiness around jump-start stalling conversations should leave you feeling empowered to [nicely] bark. You are invited to streamline any part of your routine that needs it. As you’re throwing up your to-do list on your calendar, combine tasks to make them more enjoyable, and make sure you’re leaving time for yourself to play. Because if you’re busy chasing perfection, you might stay busy… well, forever. Unwind with friends who refill your cup, trust yourself the first time, and lean into the cobbled-together peace you have built for yourself. You earned it.
